TRADE AND TOURISM IN2022
1. Trade
After the Covid-19 pandemic, business establishments reopened, the
economic situation gradually recovered. In2022, retail sales of goods and
turnover from service activities gained a relatively steady growth, promptly
meeting the needs of people in the province, especially during public holidays
and Lunar New Year. Supermarkets, markets, and business establishments
were always open for service. On public holidays, business establishments
enhanced their service to habitants and tourists, avoided business interruptions
and shortages of goods, as well as maintained stable market prices. Tourism
activities, restaurants, catering services, accommodation facilities and other
services were always open to serve habitants and visitors. However, during the
year, gasoline prices always fluctuated, affecting production and business
activities and transport units. Preliminarily in2022, retail sales of goods
reached 52,000.1 billion VND, up 15.04% over the same period last year.
As of December 31,2022, the whole province had 138 ranked markets
(an increase of 01 market compared to that in 2021), of which: 01 market type
I, 13 markets type II, 124 markets type III. The province had 03 supermarkets
and 01 commercial center.
2. Tourism
In2022, the tourism activity gained recovery, boosting the growth of
local economic sectors. When the Government officially opened all tourism
activities to both domestic and foreign tourists, the number of visitors
increased over the same period last year. Many hotels, restaurants and retail
chains in tourist destinations were back to life. Travel agencies, other service
activities experienced many good changes compared to the same period last
year.
