3. Poultry raising

The total number of poultry in the province reached 6,513.7 thousand
heads, a year-on-year increase of 34%, of which chickens 5,111.8 thousand

heads, a rise of 43.7%; ducks 1,210 thousand heads, a growth of 7.3%; geese
32.4 thousand heads, a decline of 15.3%; quail 145.3 thousand heads, a rise of
16.6%; and pigeons 11.1 thousand heads, an increase of 2.8%. The chicken
population increased as a new farm with the scale of 250,000 chickens was
established in Ham Tan district, TaFa Viet Co., Ltd in Duc Linh district

expanded the scale of raising egg layer chicken of 300,000 heads, and Link
Fram Company branch in Ham Thuan Bac district was opened with the raising
capacity of 850 thousand heads; the duck population increased because there
were more enterprises raising CP ducks with a scale of 84,000 heads in Song

Luy commune, Bac Binh district; the swan population saw a decrease as the
consumption market was narrowed, and farmers did not make much profit, so
some households reduced their swan population.

4. Other livestock (goats and sheep, etc.)

The total number of goats and sheep in the province reached 41,182
heads, a year-on-year growth of 15.1%, of which goats 37,936 heads, an

increase of 16.4%; sheep 3,246 heads, a growth of 1.8%. The goat and sheep
population increased since the stable output market encouraged farmers to
develop the total population.

III. Forestry

In2022, attention was paid to the forest development. In addition, illegal
logging, transportation, and deforestation were timely addressed through

strengthening inspection. The propaganda to protect and prevent forest fires in
