The aquaculture production reached 12,603.2 tons, a year-on-year growth

of 5.2%. The aquaculture production was mainly inland with the production of

                           6.2. Industrial production

The year 2022 witnessed a low growth rate in industrial production
activities compared to previous years. Within the industry sector, the growth

rate was shifted from the electricity production and distribution to the
manufacturing. As the Covid-19 pandemic was controlled nationwide, and
trade agreements such as EVFTA and CPTPP proved their efficiency,
industrial activities in the province maintained the growth rate and
development. However, the rising inflation, the impacts of the Russia -

Ukraine conflict, the rising costs of production and transport caused by the
high prices of fuels and input materials, and the gradual decline in external
consumption demands exerted influence on the industrial production activities
                     in the province.

The year-on-year index of industrial production (IIP) of the whole

industry increased by 0.55% in 2022, of which mining and quarrying, and
manufacturing recorded a sharp increase (the mining and quarrying soared by
27.44% due to the construction of North – South East expressway, and Phan
Thiet - Dau Giay route; the manufacturing surged up 13.27%); electricity, gas,

steam and air-conditioning supply fell by 3.98%; water supply, sewerage,
waste management and remediation activities jumped by 6.01%.

Some main industrial products recorded a year-on-year growth in 2022,
specifically: Animal feed, stone of all kinds, clothes, and fish sauce rose by
                     7.8%, 38.68%, 21.83%, 10.04%, and 4.17%, respectively.

                           6.3. Trade, service and tourism

                           - Trade and service activities: After the Covid-19 pandemic, business

establishments reopened, the economic situation gradually recovered. In 2022,
