TRANSPORT, POSTAL SERVICE AND
TELECOMMUNICATIONS IN2022
Road and sea transport business witnessed positive changes. The
operation ran regularly and increased in the last months of the year due to the
increasing demand for tourism and relaxation at the end of the year. Passenger
transport activities on inter-provincial and intra-provincial routes were
guaranteed. Freight transport activities were stable to meet smooth
transportation demand in the last months of the year. Only petroleum products
experienced many fluctuations during the year, which put great pressure on the
transportation industry.
In2022, passenger transport reached 9,559 thousand passengers, a year-
on-year increase of 20.56% and passenger traffic gained 784,459 thousand
passengers-kilometers, increasing by 2.21 times, of which: road passenger
transport was 9,400 thousand passengers, an increase of 19.35% and road
passenger traffic reached 770,084 passengers-km, an increase of 2.20 times
compared to that in 2021; seaway passenger transport reached 158.4 thousand
passengers, an increase of nearly 3 times and seaway passenger traffic reached
14,375 passengers-km, an increase of 2.5 times compared to that in 2021.
Freight transport in2022 reached 5,388 thousand tons, an increase of
16.72% compared to that in 2021 and freight traffic gained 432,977 thousand
tons-km, an increase of 67.88%, of which: road transport reached 5,374
thousand tons, an increase of 16.56% and road traffic reached 431,475
thousand tons-km, an increase of 67.70% compared to that in 2021; seaway
transport reached 14 thousand tons, an increase of 2.56 times and seaway
traffic reached 1,502 thousand tons.km, an increase of 2.41 times compared to
that in 2021.
